The season at Pyrford Lakes has been a resounding success on multiple fronts. However, the overriding highlight must be the Members Invitational Charity Golf Day on Monday 31st July
With over 100 participants, made up of both members and guests, the course and clubhouse were graced with a day of friendly yet competitive golf. Of course, Charity was at the heart of every activity throughout the course of the day, from purchased mulligans, to an unforgettable auction. And to top it all off, Captain Eric’s band had everyone dancing and celebrating into the night!
Shooting Star’s Children’s Hospices were the principal beneficiaries and an immense effort was made by all to be able to present a cheque for staggering, £13,501.94
Shooting Star Children’s Hospices is an English children’s hospice charity. The charity cares for babies, children and people with life-limiting conditions, and their families, across Surrey and West London. They provide specialist clinical and holistic care to families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement.
We would like to express our immense gratitude to all of our members and guests who made the Members Invitational Charity Golf day such a resounding success. In particular, we would like to extend a special thanks to Eric Iliopoulos, Tony Brunt, Jon Barber, and Ray Jupp, who, with the unwavering support of Get Golfing, have played an instrumental role in making a significant and invaluable contribution to the incredible charitable exploits of ShoOting Star Children’s Hospices.
Together we have achieved something truly remarkable, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
