The amazing journey began at Redlibbets on the morning of Tuesday 17th, where everyone gathered for a quick breakfast and then embarked on the coach for the Eurotunnel. Upon arrival, everyone checked into the lovely Le Manoir Hotel, followed by a delightful dinner.
On Wednesday, the group enjoyed a beautiful breakfast before venturing out for a practice round at the La Mer course. This round highlighted some remarkable early performances, especially from Karen Taylor. The weather update from Simon King, the renowned weather presenter from the BBC, added to the uplifting atmosphere.
Thursday marked the highly anticipated start of the thrilling two-day stableford competition, with the first round at the prestigious La Foret course. The course itself was fabulous, with its lush fairways and challenging holes providing the perfect setting for a great competition. As the sun set on Thursday, anticipation grew for the second round of the competition, which would take place the following day at the renowned La Mer course. This course promised to test our golfers even further, with its undulating greens and strategically placed hazards.
Following an unforgettable and thrilling final day of golf at the picturesque La Mer Course, the entire group gathered together for one last delightful meal accompanied by a drinks reception. It was a lovely evening and the Get Golfing staff proudly presented the winners to the group.
The trip concluded on Saturday with a coach journey back to Redlibbets. We at Get Golfing want to express our immense gratitude to all of you for making this trip truly unforgettable and we hope you had a fabulous time.
Those who coordinate and participate in a society event throughout the year at one of our various venues are extended a complimentary invitation, along with a friend, to compete in the prestigious Society Masters competition. The victorious pair from each venue’s Society Masters event will earn themselves a coveted spot on the exclusive, all expenses paid Le Touquet trip.
The Race to Le Touquet is an order of merit competition that takes place at our clubs, whereby throughout the spring there is a series of competitions which allocate points depending on finishing positions, with certain competitions carrying more weight than others. At the end of this series of events, both the male and female member at each of the clubs with the most amount of points wins a place on an all inclusive golf trip to Le Touquet.
