Get Golfing

Meet our team

The management of Get Golfing CIO understands that they have to deliver the best possible course conditions and a welcoming environment to attract people to the venues

Both the Management Team and Trustees have been afforded opportunities in life through golf. With this in mind they are keen to pass that opportunity on to others and this is shown in the ethos through out the workplace environment and beyond.

Founder

Ed truly loved the game of golf and everything it stands for, his unrivalled passion, dedication and determination was inspiring for all that he touched and the reason he founded Get Golfing.

Ed sadly passed away in November 2023. He leaves a massive hole in our hearts, but an unshakeable desire to fulfil his legacy. As Ed said many times, Get Golfing is owned by the golfing gods and he has now joined them.

Trustees

The trustee’s role at Get Golfing is voluntary and they receive no commercial gains. They are the ‘guardians of purpose’, making sure that all decisions put the needs of the beneficiaries first. They safeguard the charity’s assets – both physical assets, including property, and intangible ones, such as its reputation. In addition, in conjunction with the senior management they ensure Get Golfing retains a high moral code of conduct.

Management Team

The role of the management team is to plan for the future by setting objectives and creating the strategies to reach these. The team does not operate from a traditional head office and spend much of their time at each of the clubs helping to lead the operation. The management team regularly review the KPI’s of the charity to ensure the business objectives are being met.
