Record Breaking Fun, Food & Golf Sessions

Get Golfing CIO Celebrates Record-Breaking Half-Term with Fun, Food & Golf Sessions Across 12 Venues

October Half Term

The Get Golfing CIO Community Team is celebrating a record-breaking half-term after delivering Fun, Food & Golf sessions across twelve venues — the highest number ever achieved by the charity.

Each session was offered completely free of charge, giving families the chance to enjoy golf activities, a hot meal, and pumpkins — all fully funded by Get Golfing CIO under its charitable and community mission.

Many venues also hosted family golf sessions alongside the main events, ensuring even more opportunities for families to come together through golf.

Participating venues included:
Ansty, Arkley, Redlibbets, Sherfield Oaks, Mill Green, North Downs, Cobtree, Pyrford Lakes, Hampton Court Palace, Warley Park, Winter Hill Family Golf — and now Eastbourne Downs, which proudly hosted its first-ever Fun, Food & Golf activation this week.

“This half-term has been our most successful yet,” said Chris Morris, CEO at Get Golfing CIO. “We’re thrilled to see so many families enjoying golf together while benefiting from nutritious meals and a welcoming atmosphere. The addition of Eastbourne Downs marks an exciting new chapter in expanding our community reach.”

The Fun, Food & Golf initiative is a cornerstone of Get Golfing CIO’s charitable mission to make golf more inclusive, family-friendly, and accessible for people of all ages and backgrounds.
