Sport Parkinson’s Golf Taster Session Launches at Ansty Golf Centre

Part of the Get Golfing Mission

Ansty Golf Centre was delighted to welcome Sport Parkinson’s for a fantastic first golf taster session on Monday 14 September.

Led by PGA Professional Adam Mason, the jam-packed morning gave local people living with Parkinson’s disease the chance to get active, try a range of golf activities and enjoy the game in a relaxed, supportive setting. The session concluded with refreshments and a social hub, giving members of the Sport Parkinson’s community an opportunity to connect.

Working closely with the Sport Parkinson’s team, Get Golfing is helping reduce barriers to participation and make golf more accessible for people at every stage of life. Our aim is to improve wellbeing through golf, provide a safe and active environment, and help participants build connections within their local community.

A huge thank you goes to Ed Thesiger, Head of Partnerships, and Charlie Appleyard, Co-Founder and Director at Sport Parkinson’s, for their hard work in bringing these sessions to life and for their continued support of people living with Parkinson’s disease.

It was a pleasure to host such an inspiring group at Ansty Golf Centre, and we look forward to building on this brilliant start through future sessions and connections.
